Class starts at 9.30 with the day finishing at 5.30 latest. Study is ’full on’ with layers of information, followed by quality sharing and relaxation. Being residential helps you to get to know your group. Life long friendships grow from your time spent in Lyme Regis, with the added benefit that you also manage to have time for yourself!
It is important that students understand thoroughly their training. Reasons for giving an application, what is the intent, why is angle of delivery so important, the question why is asked in everything you do.
“My background was as a proffessional dancer and also in the martial arts. This has provided me with a deep understanding the body, both physical and subtle bodies. Having suffered a serious injury to my neck, then later to my lower back I was then spiralled into a need for deeper understanding.
Now as a practioner and tutor of Thai Massage, the understanding of SAFETY in application is a priority in my teaching. Both to the practitioner and the receiver this awareness must be incorporated in every breath of movement, safety and sensitivity must become second nature to my students. There are so many practitioners out there who are amazingly unaware of the importance in their ’stances’ to deliver well, an application.
The importance of the effect of ‘gravity’ on the body in relation to the A + P of a condition, needs to be understood so that a graduate can to step into an honoured space with their eyes closed and have their receiver move into the para-sympathetic state almost imediately…and stay there :-)…. “ niclaire
