Certificate Course - Practitioner Level
Over Eleven months, this course consists of :
16 days course work = 128 hours + 80 hrs Logged home practice
Anatomy & Physiology with Thai practical theory study = 20 hours. Total = 228 hours.
On completion, the student skills will include giving a full body 2 hour Thai Massage and a 1 hour Dynamic Massage.
The BSTTM does not ‘take out’ sections of the treatment study as we feel that ‘practioner level’ requires the full content. Students are taught to understand and question why and what is the purpose of every application. We also focus constantly on ‘posture‘ and ‘transition moves’ in application, and nurtured to eventually work with your eyes closed?’. The BSSTM has a reputation for high standards. Graduates are recognised for their overall quality and recognised ‘listening skills’ and understanding of this wonderful art.
Part One (3 days)
- Complete Supine Position.
- Theory – Leg energy lines + Axial Skeleton Structure
Part Two (3 days)
- Complete Side Position + Hara
- Theory – Skeletal Muscular + Digestive Systems
Part Three (3 days)
- Complete Seated + Prone Positions (+ 12 hrs treatment practice)
- Theory – Lymphatic + Respiratory Systems
Summer school - 3 days
Pre-exam practice - 2 days
Exam- 2 days
A work manual is provided and an A & P energy work information folder.
Advanced Diploma 1
This course consists of: Three x 3-day weekends (9 days). Plus logged practice - 50 hours and home study - 20 hours . Total = 142 hours.
On completion, the advanced student will have a deeper understanding of the energy sen lines and be able to give a choice of specialized treatments. Students will learn:
Sen energy line treatments:
- Sen Sumana + Kalathari,
- Sen Itta + Pingkhala,
- Sen Sahatsarangsi + Thawari
- Sen Lawusang + Ulanka , Nanthakrawat + Khitchana
- Correlation between Meridian energy lines/points and Sen lines.
Advanced Diploma 2
Course consists of: Two x 3 day weekends (6 days). Plus logged practice 30 hours and home study 10 hours Total = 88 hours
- Thai table massage using oils and steamed herb balls.
- Students will learn Inpaku style. This is a treatment given using only the feet.
- Deeper level chi nei tsiang hara’treatment.
- Extra advanced applications
We are shall be participating in a long week-end ‘gathering’ for ‘European Thai ‘ Massage Instructors/Practitioners June 2009 in Croatia . Details shall be available towards mid-October 08. Namaste Niclaire :-)
